Sarah Fass researches state and federal policies that promote the economic security and well-being of low-income children and their families. She contributes to the Making “Work Supports” Work initiative, which analyzes the current patchwork of federal and state programs that assist low-income working families and explores policy alternatives; the initiative builds on NCCP’s Family Resource Simulator. Sarah also participates in NCCP’s communications and outreach work and coordinates NCCP’s responses to media requests.
Sarah brings a range of policy and child advocacy experience to NCCP. Sarah comes to NCCP from the Child Care Action Campaign, a national advocacy organization, where she coordinated the Child Care and Equality Dialogue series. Prior to that, Sarah worked at the Children’s Defense Fund in Washington, D.C. in the Department of Intergovernmental Relations.
Sarah is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health degree at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. She is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she holds a bachelor’s degree in American Studies and French.
