Building Cross-systems Parenting Initiatives
December 9, 2009
Parenting education programs are extremely diverse with respect to goals, outcomes, and suitability for children and families. The wide range of models and the various points of access to parenting programs requires extensive cross-systems work at the state level. Project Thrive at NCCP hosted a webinar on this topic for Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems Coordinators and stakeholders. The event included:
- A review of evidence-based parenting programs
- Information on possible funding opportunities through pending legislation
- Discussion of the seven infrastructure elements for ECCS systems building
- A presentation from the New York State Parenting Education Partnership (NYSPEP)
Please note, the first 10 minutes of this webinar were not recorded.
