Integrating Evidence and Practice to Reduce Disparities
May 11–12, 2010
Janice Cooper, PhD, Interim Director at NCCP is participating in Integrating Evidence and Practice to Reduce Disparities: Developing an Inclusive Framework for Mental Health Interventions. This meeting will be hosted by the Child Adolescent and Family Branch (CAFB) of the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The purpose of this invitational meeting is to explore how different systems serving children, adolescents and families have defined and promoted effective practices and addressed various types of evidence related to effectiveness. We also seek to examine how an emphasis on effective interventions might be useful in addressing some aspects of disparities in mental health services.
