California County Profiles
Eleven of California’s counties were examined to gauge how well the state supports and the counties provide mental health services for children and families. Researchers looked at race, ethnicity, language barriers, geography, and economic status, and other factors that contribute to the phenomenon that, while six percent of California's children have mental health problems, only two percent are accessing mental health services.
