In 2009, Utah appropriated $100,000 for state supplemental funding of Head Start programs. The legislature also passed a bill to create a pilot home-based, school readiness program. Utah allocated $6.2 million of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds to enhance IDEA Part C early intervention services for infants and toddlers with disabilities, and $22 million to provide additional child care support for working families.
